Where's My Water Review

Disney enters mobile gaming... with a BANG! Where’s My Water is a fun game where your aim is to give Swampy water to take a bath. You dig dirt, keep away the sewage and gather all three ducks. Swampy is the cutest protagonist I have seen in a game since Om-Nom(Cut the Rope).

It is an extreme delight to watch Swampy when he gets enough water. All the effort seems completely worth it. There are levels that start out easy and get increasingly difficult at just the right speed. The best part about this game is that the protagonist is not a Disney cartoon but an entirely new character.

The only gripe is that it can get a bit repetitive at times. Otherwise it is a must have for both hardcore and casual gamers. It is available for both android and iOS at $0.99. It is a must have for all and is really worthy of a

Update: I changed the rating as I experienced some bugs in the game and that kind of messed up the overall fun of the game.

Riptide GP Review

Only once in a blue moon is a good racing game announced for mobile. Riptide GP is not a game from any triple A developer. Infact it is developed by a studio called Vector Unit. Yup, the very developer who came up with the crazy Shine Runner.

It has the most impressive graphics I’ve seen in a racing game(NFS Most Wanted not included). You race in futuristic speed boats. You gain boost  by performing insane stunts when you are in the air.

It also lets you race against the clock in Hot Lap. It runs at it’s best on Tegra 3 powered devices but runs just fine on other phones and tablets. This is a must have for Tegra 3 powered devices and a good game for other devices as well at a pricetag of $2.99. It is a clear

Rayman Jungle Run Review

Yup. You are not dreaming. Rayman has gone mobile! And it is great. I think this is the most fun 2D platformer I have played since Mario, and now it is on mobile devices. The aim of the game is to reach the end of a level without dying(much like Mario).

The unique thing about this game is that is makes you feel like you are making music with every move of yours. E.g- I seems like jumping make a drum sound. It is almost like you are making music but infact it is already recorded and just plays in a rythm that ends up exactly matching your motions. The mobile version is $2.99 on the Play Store.

It has only one control initially, that is, you touch to jump. The campaign is just 40 levels which includes jumping, flying, climbing and punching. I felt that the campaign was painfully short and you were left craving for more. I otherwise love the game. The graphics are console quality and the frame rates are crisp. It all come together to form the perfect Rayman experience on the go. This is a must have if you own an iOS or Android device. This game deserves a solid:

NFS Most Wanted Review (iOS/Android)

EA has finally taken the big step towards the mobile platform. NFS Most Wanted has made it to iOS and Android. NFS Most Wanted by Criterion is a pleasure on home consoles. It is just the same on mobile. It is by far the best racing game ever made for mobile platforms.

It is actually better than Asphalt too. It has 41 different cars from Hummers to Aston Martins.
It is a pleasure to drive every car of the game. It runs just as well on both iOS and Android. It does seem a bit too expensive at a $6.99 price tag but it is still a very enjoyable experience.

If you are willing to spend the money for a perfect racer, then this is the game for you.  I think it deserves a

Samsung Chromebook (ARM) Review

Many people criticize the chromebook for its restricted interface. But to be honest, its not that restricted. If you want it for work like word docs, power points, etc., then this laptop is made for you. It has a great keyboard which has really nice chiclet styled keys.

It is also meant for (duh) web browsing. Here I would like to mention that setting up the connection can be more than hectic. And the notebook won't start without an active internet connection which really sucks. But after that the whole process is quite seamless. In the case that you don't have an internet connection, this notebook is not at all for you. It is a notebook that basically(at least initially) requires an internet connection.(It did give me some trouble in connecting to my Wi-Fi)

I had to go to the nearest Best Buy as I had some problem setting up the connection in my house, Now I have no problems with the device and am infact writing all my articles with it. And at a $249 price tag you cannot go wrong with this thing. I would give it an 8.5/10 just for the fact that it requires an internet connection initially.Otherwise it´s the most value for money notebook till date.

FOR:Good office app, Good battery life, Lightweight, Keyboard, Price, Google support

AGAINST: Needs internet, Not for gaming, Hectic Startup Process

VERDICT: Good notebook and good value for money but may give you some trouble with Wi-Fi. Not a notebook for gamers but for people who type a lot or use Office a lot.

Subway Surfers Review

Subway Surfers caught my attention a week or so ago and has escalated to the top of the games section of the Play Store. It sounds like a copy of Temple Run, but it´s just so much better. I agree that the idea is the same as Temple Run but it is much more well executed and never lags nor do the frame rates dip.

The ads might be too intrusive for some but I don't really care as I simply switch my phone to airplane mode. It also may get a bit repetitive after a while as the surrounding don´t change as much as they do in Temple Run.

But if you stop comparing it to Temple Run and play it as a separate game,  it turns out to be quite fun. I do not hesitate in giving this game a :

Bad Piggies Review

I know this is a really late review.  But when you review a Rovio game( any mobile game for that matter) the DLC is what really matters. And I love to say this, Rovio has delivered yet again. Ground Hog levels let you get a hang of things on the ground. And then the game takes flight in Where Pigs Fly, and the new Flight In The Night just expands on the experience overall.

In Bad Piggies you build these crazy machines/vehicles to take the pigs to the destination. You us e everything from propeller wings to soda bottles. It is a really fun experience on a touch screen and almost as fun on the PC. I have really not noticed any lags or anything of that kind and the updates and DLC is taking the game in the right direction. This game completely deserves a

Angry Birds Star Wars Review

This is how to really utilize a license. This game is not only a good Angry Birds game, it´s the best. All the birds have been given makeovers both cosmetically and functionally. The red bird has a lightsaber, the bombird has a power that helps you move the surroundings in a specific direction. The yellow bird has a laser which can penetrate everything except reflecting glass. There´s an r2d2 and a c3po bird too.

It all roughly retells the whole Star Wars saga. And sums up to be a really fun experience for fans of both the game and the series. The only gripe I personally have is that you have to pay for playing Path of the Jedi levels which really does suck. I paid for them but I did not think they were worth it. Otherwise, keep it up Rovio an keep giving us all that Angry Birds goodness.
