AVG Antivirus Free Review

Antivirus seems to be a need for Android since it is now the second most popular platform for viruses after Windows. AVG Antivirus fulfills this very need. It scans your phone for viruses and is constantly updated. It has kept all my devices safe from spam, ad-ware and mal-ware. It also has an App Killer which keeps the RAM of your device free and makes for a more fluid experience. AVG has started Anti-theft which tracks down your phone via Google Maps and lets you remotely wipe your data or lock the phone in case it is stolen or lost. Such great features make it a very essential app for your phone. I would give it:

The Amazing Spider-man Review (iOS/Android)

Games like this one are usually cheap quality ports of their console iterations. But with Gameloft developing this one, it is great! The game puts the full power of Spidey in your hands. You can roam around Manhattan and punch bad dudes in their faces. All of this with CRYSTAL clear graphics. I would say that the control scheme is not bad, but I still can't get really comfortable playing it on my tablet. 

The enemies are pretty easy to defeat but the bosses can get really difficult to defeat. Manhattan is really nicely built and the lighting is top notch. I think that Gameloft has done a great job with this game. It really does push the mobile platform.It takes around 1.5 GB of free space. I would give it:

   8/10 Keep it up Gameloft! Just take up less space next time!

Draw Something Review

This review may be rather late, but is necessary. It is the game that went viral in about 2 months and was bought for $200 million by Zynga. It is a simple yet elegant idea which is really addicting. You draw stuff and some random person or your friend is asked to guess. This game goes on and both players earn coins depending on the difficulty of the word. It has a user base of 10 million. I love the game myself! But it is more like you play it for a week or so regularly and then you get bored with the same repetitive words this game spits out. So I think that this is a good game that received too much hype. Even then, it is a must have for your tablet for free! I would give it:

7/10   

FIFA 13 Review

             Honestly, even though everyone cribs about how FIFA is just an annual franchise which brings not many improvements in every iteration, everyone just as enthusiastically buys every iteration. The same is true with FIFA 13. I know that by the time you read this review you already have FIFA 13, and I would like to say that this game does not feature any major improvements over FIFA 12. I recommend this game only if you do not have  FIFA 12 or you want to stay up-to-date with the players in your favorite team.

The graphics in the game are a bit more polished and the Collision system of the earlier game is much more realistic. Every aspect of the game has just been brushed up a bit.

So, if you have a limited budget, you should rather spend it in some other game if you already have FIFA 12.
But if you do not have FIFA 12 then this is a must buy.This game deserves:

Where's My Water Review

Disney enters mobile gaming... with a BANG! Where’s My Water is a fun game where your aim is to give Swampy water to take a bath. You dig dirt, keep away the sewage and gather all three ducks. Swampy is the cutest protagonist I have seen in a game since Om-Nom(Cut the Rope).

It is an extreme delight to watch Swampy when he gets enough water. All the effort seems completely worth it. There are levels that start out easy and get increasingly difficult at just the right speed. The best part about this game is that the protagonist is not a Disney cartoon but an entirely new character.

The only gripe is that it can get a bit repetitive at times. Otherwise it is a must have for both hardcore and casual gamers. It is available for both android and iOS at $0.99. It is a must have for all and is really worthy of a

Update: I changed the rating as I experienced some bugs in the game and that kind of messed up the overall fun of the game. 

Riptide GP Review

Only once in a blue moon is a good racing game announced for mobile. Riptide GP is not a game from any triple A developer. Infact it is developed by a studio called Vector Unit. Yup, the very developer who came up with the crazy Shine Runner.

It has the most impressive graphics I’ve seen in a racing game(NFS Most Wanted not included). You race in futuristic speed boats. You gain boost  by performing insane stunts when you are in the air.

It also lets you race against the clock in Hot Lap. It runs at it’s best on Tegra 3 powered devices but runs just fine on other phones and tablets. This is a must have for Tegra 3 powered devices and a good game for other devices as well at a pricetag of $2.99. It is a clear

Rayman Jungle Run Review

Yup. You are not dreaming. Rayman has gone mobile! And it is great. I think this is the most fun 2D platformer I have played since Mario, and now it is on mobile devices. The aim of the game is to reach the end of a level without dying(much like Mario).

The unique thing about this game is that is makes you feel like you are making music with every move of yours. E.g- I seems like jumping make a drum sound. It is almost like you are making music but infact it is already recorded and just plays in a rythm that ends up exactly matching your motions. The mobile version is $2.99 on the Play Store.

It has only one control initially, that is, you touch to jump. The campaign is just 40 levels which includes jumping, flying, climbing and punching. I felt that the campaign was painfully short and you were left craving for more. I otherwise love the game. The graphics are console quality and the frame rates are crisp. It all come together to form the perfect Rayman experience on the go. This is a must have if you own an iOS or Android device. This game deserves a solid:
